Who is Jesus? This Christology is found in the Pope Francis’
message for World Day of Peace 2014.
Jesus is acknowledged as the fulfiller of the plan of the
Father – to save us!
Jesus is the definitive and new principle of us all – thus
in him we are to regard ourselves as brothers and sisters (and we become
children of the Father).
Jesus is the covenant (the blood of the new and everlasting
covenant) – we are reconciled with God and with one another.
His death brings to an end the separation among peoples.
He is peace (Letter to the Ephesians) – we
become one people, one humanity.
